Global Predictive Maritime Analytics
The sheer vastness of the seas leaves the maritime domain today as the last ungoverned domain on the planet, and therefore the most vulnerable to a wide range of 'foul play'. The actual actions and whereabouts of vessels beyond the line of horizon are scarcely monitored, if any, making it much harder for shore-based countries to distinguish the 'good guys' from the 'bad guys', and it seems that every vessel has a potential to become a casual offender and pose a threat upon arrival to port.
Big Data - recent years have marked the emergence of a maritime information age, with dozens of data sources available. MarInt gather and fuse huge amounts of data, and applies unique dedicated algorithms to analyze the data and extract actionable insights.
Behavior Analysis- MarInt continuously analyze the behavior of all vessels worldwide to detect anomalies. Complex pattern recognition analytics are applied in order to detect even the smallest changes in patterns of areas and vessels, whilst keeping false alarm rate to a minimum.
Open Source Intelligence - MarInt integrates commercial databases and other sources in order to enrich and validate the maritime picture and the entities of vessels, ports, companies, etc.
Active Satellites - MarInt integrates active satellites' imagery for detection of location and movement of ships, even without voluntary transmissions.
Historical Backtracking - Since maritime intelligence is not only about ‘here and now’, MarInt enables the user to further investigate a vessel or an area, as they were months back, in order to locate potential perpetrators.
