Data Science Student

Windward is looking for a smart, curious grad student to help tackle some fascinating data challenges.

You will be working with data scientists on Windward’s R&D team researching and developing algorithms and ML models to identify maritime activities and help fuse noisy data from multiple sources.

 

Requirements:

  • Graduate student (for M.Sc / PhD)
  • Availability for 3 working days per week
  • B.Sc cum laude in relevant field (CS/Bioinformatics/Software Engineering, etc.).
  • Proficiency in data manipulation with python

Advantages:

  • Coding experience (a big plus)
  • Experience developing ML models
  • Experience working with big data (e.g. Apache Spark)
