MarInt forms a powerful maritime intelligence cueing system, operating globally, as suspicious vessels and events are highlighted and alerted to the user as they occur, in real time – allowing decision makers to overlook routine maritime trade, and providing early warning to the future arrival of suspicious vessels heading to their waters and ports.
Marint First layer - Data Collection
Data is continuously collected, processed and incorporated into MarInt’s global maritime picture.
AIS reports - MarInt integrates data from vessels’ active AIS transmissions, picked up by coastal and satellite receivers.
SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellites – MarInt automatically processes and analyzes SAR imageries, for detection of location and movements of “silent” ships.
Optical satellites – MarInt uses optical satellites imagery for optimal vessel classification and identification.
Marint Second layer - Data Integration
MarInt brings forth a global maritime coverage, integrating coastal and satellite AIS data with unclassified commercial ships’ databases and Open Source Intelligence (such as blacklists, articles, PSC, etc.), in order to construct a comprehensive, validated and enriched maritime picture.
This coverage is further enhanced using active satellites (e.g. SAR and EO), which monitors vessels activity even without voluntary transmissions.
Marint Third layer - Vessel Profile
MarInt build an intelligent and accessible profile for each vessel worldwide, maps its historical log, and automatically analyzes the full historical paths in order to establish contextual patterns.
Once these pattern are constructed, MarInt is able to further apply path prediction algorithms, detect discrepancies and backtrack all historical data.
Marint Fourth layer - Behavior Analysis
All vessels then undergo dedicated predictive analysis algorithms, automatically applying pattern recognition, behavior analysis and link analysis, in order to detect even the slightest anomalous behaviors and patterns, which may indicate involvement in illicit activities – and may also be the only available indication of such involvement. MarInt provides its users with, actionable, forward looking and relevant insights.
